Two be or not two be...

That is the question.

Do you think it's confusing {or an unnecessary hassle} that I have a Crooked Stream "business website" AND a "personal blog"?

I could combine them.

I could keep it how it is.

What do you think? I'd love to know!

Maybe you could make your business website more like a photographer's website (with open portfolio and all), and not have it in blog format, and then have a personal blog. Just a thought :-) Keep up the good work!!!

I don't find them to be confusing.

I think that you should keep this blog as your personal blog! I love to read your posts! You just can't stop ;)

Love You,

This was the same dilemma I faced with my own photo "blog." I think you can combine them both though - I enjoy reading your personal posts. The photography is inspiring. Blessings to you!

You could totally combine them. I follow PLENTY of photographers who do that....and i love it. I love how they incorporate their life along with their photography in one site. But keep the blog. Don't get rid of it. :)

I'm loving the feedback. Thank you soooo much for taking the time to share your thoughts!!! Everyone has given great input...

The reason I even asked about this is because I had one person tell me it was confusing them- and I was hoping that wasn't happening to everyone!!!! I'm still cooking up some ideas... But just for now, I s'pose I'll leave it as it is.

Any other input is still welcome!

Here's the catch; Your blog is you. Your writing is you. Your photography is you. It's all an expression of YOU. My thought it; why do you need two places to express you? Your photography and your writing are both lovely and show the beauty of your life ('cause your life is God's and He makes you amazing) and they compliment each-other.
So my advice would be to put 'em together. Individually they are fantastic, but entwined together they could be breath-taking.
Just sayin'. And feel free to discard my advice. :)
Love you girl!

I would keep them separate, therefore being able to express yourself more personally on a blog then a professional basis.
Not sure if thats how you would see it but thats what I would do.
just my thoughts...

Hello Kami,

I really like how you have both the blog and the website... my only question is are there two blogs (one with Blogger and one on the website) or am I confused about that! :)

Blessings!

Elizabeth! You are such an amazing persuasive writer that you practically had me convinced the moment I read your comment! Thank you for sharing. It made my day to hear from you! It's been far too long since we've caught up- I had no idea about Esther's engagement! *Congratulations!!!!*

As for the other comments, I totally see where you guys are coming from as well~ Thank YOU for sharing!

I'll keep ALL of these ideas in mind... for someday... if I take the plunge and do something different! ;)

P.S. {I'm extra happy to know that everyone isn't confused by the website AND the blog. yaHOO! LAURA BOGGS: you can be at ease, I won't be calling you quite yet to change all of your beautiful web designing!!! ;) Love you, dear girl!}

I've been reading a lot and I know some photographers recommend keeping it separate. Do you know Elizabeth Halford?
