Our crazy tradition of branding an uncommon name for a "grave" when we say our sad goodbyes.
Last time it was Albert, (Amber) and this time it was Hershal (David). ;)

For some reason this picture reminded me of just a simple, passing season in life's journey.
And for another reason, I also look forward to the time driving down the highway with my family....
I have a feeling we'll have lots of smiles and not any blues on this trip! ;)

So, this Saturday Kess decided that we all should go garage sale-ing.... =)
We have been looking for some good reenacting finds, so we all thought it wasn't a bad idea. Except, that I have been saving all of my pennies in the bank ;) and knew I would have to restrain from buying anything.
Well, okay, I had $1 that I figured I could use, and see how far I could get it to go. =) On the very first stop I found something I have keenly been on the lookout for. A Messenger bag for my photography accessories. Yahoo!
It was exactly what I had imagined...
And the price tag said $1.
I knew "this was it"! ;)
(Holding my camera left handed-ly, for a self portrait in the mirror!) =)
I instantly fell in love with the peach and light pink lining too!
It matches my new thrift-ed hat too!
I can't stand it....
Time for a stylin' photo shoot now! ;)

...Daughters, and tea.
We girls immensely enjoyed co-hosting a "Mother-Daughter Luncheon and Tea" this week, in honor of Mother's Day! It warmed my heart to see mothers and daughters gather together with love and respect for one another.
(Etiquette, by Emily Post. Very fascinating!)
Lots of washing to do...
I put together a little "quilting basket" for a small, creative project.Sewing a heart...
I have gratefully learned what a precious friend I have in my Mother. So, I want to encourage you, daughters, that if you have a mother, to find the friend that she is.
Be that friend to her.
I found that value by sharing with my Mom. Long walks, real talks.
It's amazing. You may see her every day, but we hardly know her heart if we don't take the loving effort to encourage and care for it. A Mother has many responsibilities, and it does wonders if I know how I can step up and help her spiritually. I know that what the Lord has done is precious, and I wanted to give that little seed of hope to you.
Each moment ties a tie that will last forever.
Happy Mother's Day!!!
