Pick a Title!

I'm curious to know what all of you friends out there would imagine this picture is about.
What would you name it?

I was thinking "Homecoming".

As You Wish!

I don't know why we never got a picture of our decorated tree? This post is for all of our friends who have graciously asked time and time again to see our tree. ;)

Have yourself a merry little Christmas.

Don't forget the greatest gift of all time.

We cut our first Christmas tree out of the 51 Nobles we planted 6 years ago!
Dad and Mom holding up the tree.

Ben and Annie try to hold it up too!

I love this picture of Ben listening to the buzz of the hive.

Bridge Inspections

I have enjoyed spending part of the week working up and down Weyerhaeuser's logging roads with Dad. We are inspecting all of the bridges for recent damage after the storm. Things are looking pretty good up there! They take really good care of their roads. I was impressed.

I worked on my history book all day......Filling out the inspection papers for Dad!

Think he got a headache and quit?

Maybe he had to run to the dentist?

Beauty in the Midst of Rain

>The same truck above<

"He who rules over men righteously, Who rules in the fear of God, is as the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through sunshine after rain." 2 Samuel 23:3-4

Uncle Matt flew in with his Cessna 182 today.

I was able to get a few aerial pictures of the storm's damage.

Thanks Uncle Matt!

The Storm

The biggest storm we've ever seen rolled in on Sunday night. We were without power for 3 days! We hauled and heated water on the propane stove for each of our *baths*. We lost part of our tin roof, and about 20 trees on our driveway! There was no way out.
We spent an afternoon clearing the road...
Kess took a break on a stump, thinking about how nice hot cocoa sounded!
(This picture was actually posed. She'd never really quit on the job!)

Annie kept up on hauling logs too...

Dad got his chain saw out and the chips were flying!
Looks clear!

The 129mph winds blew our doors open...The boys knew the solution:

Thank the LORD for His protection! We live on a hill and the flood water didn't reach our home. All of the trees fell in the right direction. Dad took his air boat and helped rescue with the Sheriff's department in another town. He was interviewed for Kiro 7 news!

(See the part of the cord Dad used to tie down our roof?)
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
